If it's not one government agency, its another. Today I had to call the post office and complain about all of our missing mail. First we had a blockbuster movie go missing. Not a big deal. Then it was a birthday party invitation. That was a little awkward because we had to email to ask whether or not we were invited (after a friend mentioned the party). Now my sister has mailed her CPA (me) her tax documents and they have not arrived. This would be a big deal.
Well, it took a few years but now Dave's alternate name (his middle name) is on the TSA Watch List. Dave couldn't check into Southwest online last night and today when he checked in at the airport they told him the bad news. It is so frustrating because even though everyone knows this is a problem, no one is doing anything about it. 60 Minutes did a great story on it this summer, but so far there has been no government response.
Yesterday in the park, Daniel heard the train whistle in the distance. He hears them all the time at home, so it's no big deal. But this time, Daniel started shouting "A Train! A Train!". I told him, yes, that was a train. Then he said very decisively, "It's Thomas". I almost wish it was....
I swear there is some pot smoking going on at the House of a Thousand Cars next door. The teenager and his buddies have been hanging out in the garage for a few months now, and I went to get the mail today and caught a little whiff of something. Now, it's been about 17 years since I've been in the vicinity, but I think I remember it. There was also a lot of coughing going on in there. Maybe I'm just looking for a reason to bust them since they've been parking in front of our mailbox every night again. It drives me bananas... Why can't I have normal friendly neighbors? I am so jealous of my friend Missy who has a nice babysitter friend across the street and a like-minded friend next door.
