Weekend Alone

Daniel and Wesley had a great time with Grammy and Pa Pa Burden this Saturday while Dave and I had 24 hours alone to ourselves. We shopped for mattresses, stayed downtown and ate at the Melting Pot. It was a nice break to celebrate our anniversary.

Conversation with Daniel on Saturday morning:

Dave: Daniel, do you want to go to Blockbuster with mommy to pick out a movie?
Daniel: Baby Wesley come too?
Dave: No, just Daniel and Mommy go to Blockbuster.
Daniel: Daniel and Wesley go to Blockbuster.
Christina: Who's going to drive?
Daniel: I drive the car! I drive the car!

Not for 15 more years, bud.

Happy Anniversary

To Us.... today is Year # 8. I celebrated by going to the Vera Bradley semi-annual sale and buying a new bag. Just kidding, the real celebration will be this weekend! Ok, I got a bag too but that was for something else.

Happy Father's Day

This is my Father (questionaire asked of Daniel at church today)

We had a big weekend with family in town and several other events. I'll try to post some new pictures tomorrow if I have time. I also have another Grocery Game event here tomorrow night and we're expecting about 20 girls for dessert and our "talk" about saving $$.

Big Week

We've had a big week here:

Wesley is sitting up on his own, not to mention rolling around everywhere.

I agreed to be the co-Hospitality coordinator for Moms Together next year and join the Steering Committee. This is my first big commitment to serve in a new leadership role after having the babies these past few years.

Dave attended his monthly Gideon meeting and is fulfilling his role as Camp VP.

Daniel went "poopy" in the potty for the first time and received Bertie the Bus as a prize.

Dave just called to say he won this in a drawing at work today.

I finally was able to attend a book club meeting to discuss this book. This one is next.

There is a rumor there will be a date night this weekend.

Gotta go- It's meal delivery day today for a new mommy and daddy in our church who are sleep deprived.
